State Trooper Charged With Credit Card Fraud

A Schoharie County-based state trooper takes a plea deal to charges he used a govenment credit card to make more than $2,900 in personal purchases. According to the state Inspector General’s Office Jason Mattice of Warnerville pleaded guilty Monday to one count of violation disorderly conduct. An investigation determined Mattice made the purchases between 2017 and 2019 and the items included groceries and alcohol. Mattice made full restitution owed and has retired from state service.
