Crow Roosting Starts Monday

At the request of the City of Amsterdam, Wildlife Biologists with the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services will be conducting a non-lethal wildlife damage management project to disperse the winter roost of approximately 18,000 crows.
The program is scheduled to begin Tuesday and conclude next Friday. Hours are from approximately 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM each evening. Residents are strongly encouraged to place household trash in containers with lids to discourage crows from feeding.
