GJSD Warns Of More Cuts

Greater Johnstown School District officials held another public hearing on the 2019-2020 budget in advance of next week’s vote. News 10 reports Superintendent Dr. Trish Kilburn told attendees there could be more cuts if voters don’t pass the 14.6 percent tax increase incorporated in the spending plan. Last month a proposed 35 percent increase failed to meet a 60 percent approval but this new budget only needs a simple majority to pass.
